Help with importing program music

Where is your program music stored?

Note: you need to have the actual music file (.aac, .mp3, .mp4, .wav, etc) and not stored on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, or Pandora or Youtube.

  1. On your phone
    1. Where on your phone is your music stored?
      1. In a file storage app (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or Microsoft OneDrive)
        1. You’re good to go! You can now import your music. Follow the instructions in “Adding a new program” to get started.
      2. Anywhere else (Voice Memos, Safari)
        1. Download a file storage app (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or Microsoft OneDrive). We recommend Google Drive.
        2. Find the Share icon.
        3. Upload the music to the file storage app (e.g. ‘Copy to Drive’, ‘Import with Box’, ‘Import/Save to Dropbox’, ‘Add To iCloud Drive’, ‘Import with OneDrive’)
        4. You’re good to go! You can now import your music. Follow the instructions in “Adding a new program” to get started.
      3.  iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Pandora or Youtube: not supported
  2. On your computer or a CD
    1. If your music is on a CD, put the CD in a computer with a CD Drive (with a place to put CDs).
    2. Using your computer, upload your file to a file storage app (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or Microsoft OneDrive).
      1. We recommend Google Drive, which requires a Google account - instructions found here. https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2424368?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en
    3. If this file storage app is not already downloaded on your phone, download it from the App Store on your phone.
    4. You’re good to go! You can now import your music. Follow the instructions in “Adding a new program” to get started.
